Our Background & Philosophy

At the heart of everthing that we do is our commitment to our clients

and their horses. Clayfield Stables is located in Buckley WA which sits below Mount Rainer and reflects the vibrant energy of the area. Tracy grew up showing Morgan's, Saddlebreds, Arabians and Hackney Ponies. Jim grew up showing Arabian's and later Morgans after he met Tracy who was training Morgans at the time. They currently attend shows with their two boy's Ryan and Alex for Morgan's, Saddlebred's and Arabians. The skilled team of Jim and Tracy are here to help clients achieve their goals. THE STORY OF CLAYFIELD

Be part of the family

Our first farm was located on an inlet on the Pacific Northwest which is primarily made up of clay. Years ago we brought home some young horses thinking that we could let them mature and grow up and enjoy them on this property but we soon found out that our pastures were too difficult to manage and use with the clay base in the rainy months. Flash forward as we opened our own training barn we needed a name ...for years we had always called our farm Clayfield Farm as a play on the clay we had to deal with so obviously when we moved forward we decided the perfect name to come with us would be Clayfield Stables.
